Bridgton Academy plays Bryant University
On Sunday Oct 14, 2012
the Bridgton Academy football team traveled to Smithfield, Rhode Island to take
on the Bryant University. The Wolverine defense set the tone early forcing the
opponent offense to punt. The Wolverine offense took the field and converted
two big 3rd down attempts. The first was a pass from quarterback Brock Dale to
Taylor Hughes, and the second was a run also by Hughes. Brooks Poulins would
cap off the drive with a 5 yard touchdown reception. Other scores from the day
included 2 and 3 yard runs from Byron King, a 7 yard reception from Rashad
Young, and a 1 yard run from Devon Lofton. On defense the Wolverines found
sparks from interceptions by Garret Agustin and Jarrod Casey. Up front the
defense was led by Peter Amabile, Jesse El-Ghoul, Chris Lee, and Tim Rochon.
The final score was Bridgton Academy 34 Bryant University 0. Next week the team
travels to Brown University and kickoff is scheduled for 1pm.
