Former Bridgton Academy Coach Recently Named Linebackers Coach for NFL's Detroit Lions
Former Bridgton Academy Football Coach Matt Burke (1998-99) has recently been named the next Linebackers Coach for the Detroit Lions. He most recently had spent the past 3 years with the Tennessee Titans as a Defensive Assistant/Quality Control, however when new Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz was looking for a new LB coach he thought to look to a familiar face and received permission to interview Burke and obviously saw him to be a good fit and offered him the promotion.
Congratulations Matt and Best of Luck!!
