Bridgton Academy went into the fall break with a win over the Merrimack College Warriors with a score of 24-21. Unfavorable weather conditions at the start of the trip seemed wary however by the start of the game it seemed to be a very windy afternoon. The defense forced many turnovers including 6 interceptions and a handful of fumble recoveries. The offense struggled to capitalize on the numerous turnovers from the warriors but generated enough points to get the win.
The Bridgton Academy football team also received a great presentation from Merrimack staff prior to the game. It was a great chance for the young wolverines to see and experience first hand the college atmosphere. The Dean of Admissions, the compliance director and the head coach all gave presentations to the Bridgton Academy Football team.
Fall break is coming to an end and the team is hitting the field to prepare for their next contest. The Wolverines will travel to Brown University this Sunday to play at 1:00 PM.
