The football team suffered a tough loss this week. After a long bus ride, the team arrived in Providence, RI ready to put Brown University’s J.V. squad to the test. BA started off strong as they scored the first touchdown of the game. After a blocked field goal attempt, BA was up 6-0. However, Brown quickly scored as well to go up 7-6. After that Brown’s attack never let up, which resulted in the 49-6 final score.
On offense Jacob Grills (Niantic, CT) had a total of 200-yards on the day and scored Bridgton’s only touchdown of the game. Steve Sweeney (Mahwah, NJ) tallied four receptions for a total of 42-yards. On defense Troy Moore (Worcester, MA) had a total of nine tackles, seven of which were unassisted. Parrish Rogers-Reed (Westfield, MA) had 10 total tackles, five unassisted. John Casaletto (Wakefield, MA) also had a very productive day for BA.
The team will face Yale University's JV program this Sunday on the road. Kickoff is 12:00 P.M.
